When purchasing your RV keep these things in mind.

  1. Don't settle for anything that you won't be happy with (size, comfort, sleeping capacity and etc).

  2. Don't go over your budget as the dealer does not care if you can afford it or not.

  3. Shop around, you will find that different dealers charge a different price for the same year, model and make of the RV.

  4. Do your homework on the dealer as service plays the biggest part of your RV (some don't care or just are too busy to deal with you after purchase).

  5. Make sure everything works before leaving dealer with your RV.

  6. Ask as many questions as you can think of.

  7. If buying a travel trailer/5th wheel/toy hauler, make sure the vehicle you have is capable of towing it.

  8. Storing or parking you RV on your property or storage facility (keep in mind you will pay a monthly fee for a storage lot).

  9. Extra cost including maintenance, tires, food, gas/diesel, cleaning supplies, and much more.

  10. And yes, no matter what you buy something is going to break (it is a house on wheels).

  11. It does not matter what king of RV you are looking to purchase; it just matters that you are happy and have a great time while doing it.
